Untainted by mass tourism, Bubión is a typical white alpujarran village, built in Berber style by the Moors centuries ago. The whitewashed stone houses with their characteristic flat roofs and prominent chimney pots cluster haphazardly in narrow, twisting streets.
The pace of village life is slow and tranquil and it is not unusual to see sheep or goats herded through the village. The views from the village are stunning in every direction. To the north, the highest mountains on the Spanish mainland, Veleta and Mulhacén, rise up dramatically, and to the south, the Mediterranean sea glistens beyond the coastal mountain ranges.
Travel: Granada airport is closest (approx. 1 ½ hours). The alternatives are either Almería or Malaga (approx. 2 ½ hours). A daily bus is available from Granada to Bubión, but car hire is highly recommended as schedules are infrequent and do not fit in well with flight times.
Transfers to and from the airport can be organised for an extra charge but please inform us at least a week before arrival.
"We had an amazing holiday in Bubion. The apartment was beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed. We just want to go back and spend some more hours sipping wine on the terrace, gazing at the gorgeous mountain views!"Sharon Wright from UK
"The casita is nothing short of what it promises or what other visitors write about it. Actually, it's better than that. A romantic restplace in the heart of a great natural environment. Relaxing would be an understatement."Wobbe Langeveld from Netherlands

"A simple & clean apartment. What really made the difference was the friendly service from the owners. As a non-driver the organising of lifts to and from Granada was enormously helpful. I'd recommend this property to walkers. The location was terrific too."Mark from London
"The apartment is lovely, very well designed having a stylish, comfy and romantic feel."Helen from East London
"The casita was lovely and cosy with stunning views of the valley. We only stayed for 3 nights before returning to Granada but it was a great base for two big day walks. After arriving from the hustle and bustle of Cordoba, the piece and quite was just what we needed."Peter from Ashbourne
